Seasons

A few things I hate (yeah, like there are really only a few):

Grammar

  • Usage of the word “anywho” when the author means “anyhow.” It’s the same number of letters, so it can’t be more difficult to type. I’m assuming said users feel it cutens up their sentence?
  • proly — some lazy way of typing and/or saying “probably,” because that’s too hard
  • the overuse of abbreviations like LOL, LMAO, ROFLMAO — does anyone really think these things are actually occuring?
  • aks — are you verbally dyslexic or something? just say “ask”
  • libary — again…look at the word before you say it..it’s Lie-brar-ee
  • Cutesy little business names that misspell words, such as Krazy Kutz. Basically, any title that uses the incorrect letter for the same phonetic sound really annoys me.
  • Whoever the HELL decided to start making Graduation cards that include the horribly un-cute pun “Congrads.” Thanks to you, asswipe, there are ton of people out there who think that “congrads” is an acceptable way of shortening “congratulations.”
  • The abbreviation-word “puter” for “computer.” Is it really too hard to type or say the three extra letters?

Foods

  • Mustard
  • Tomatoes, but I’ve found this weird liking for spicy tomato juice
  • Olives
  • Green Peppers

I agree with all your dislikes. The other day I saw an email Wolfgang wrote to someone that said “u” instead of “you.” We discussed how dreadful this is and he promised never ever ever to do it again. I know you didn’t list that specifically, but I think it still fits.

Pretty much all these newfangled speed-it-up-because-I-can’t-be-bothered-to-spell things bug the shit out of me.

Really horrible grammar, in general, bugs me, too.

    lol

Oh wait…just kidding. I think congrads is the one that bothers me the most. I think mostly because I’m afraid people can’t spell congratulations and since it sounds like a “d”….you know what I mean. I’m glad to know I’m not the only semi-elistist out there. You rock!

I have to say it is just LAZY!! . My 18 year old daughter has told me the 9th graders are now trying to get away with the “texting” type of cute words in their school work .I said it is really sad that the 18 year old knows it is is ok to text that way not to write that way .I think this may be is the last generation who will be aware of this .

P.S. Who knew there were so many Lydia’s
